What the application can do

Secretmsg is designed for private messages and file transfers between application users. Communication is encrypted and is not stored permanently. The application can search for users using profile information they have allowed to be searchable, helping you find former acquaintances and classmates. It also supports optional saving of sent and received messages, conversation views, and work with received and sent files, including large data such as videos, photos and other files.

You can send messages and files to multiple recipients at once.

Getting started after registration

After first registration, we recommend opening Profile / Account and completing additional details. Also choose which information may be searchable by other users. This determines how other users can find you in the application.

Privacy and GDPR

Secretmsg processes only data required for account operation, private communication, file transfer, profile discoverability and settings management. Users decide which profile data may be searched by other users. Messages, metadata and files are used only to operate the application and manage communication. Users are responsible for protecting their device, locally stored messages, files and backups. This text is informational and does not replace the full legal terms or the separate privacy policy.

Copyright and application protection

The Secretmsg application, its design, texts, graphic elements, feature names and source components are protected by copyright and intended only for authorized use. Unauthorized copying, distribution, modification, reverse engineering or commercial use of the application or its parts is not permitted without the author’s consent. Users are responsible for the content of messages and files they send, receive, store or share through the application.

Important notice Android mobile application

After every phone restart, tap the Secretmsg post-restart notification to start the application. Otherwise notifications may not work. Reliable delivery requires notifications to be enabled, background operation to be allowed and battery restrictions to be configured appropriately for your phone. If you want other users to be able to find you, also check your profile visibility settings after registration.

File transfer

File transfer is limited to 500 MB per batch and 5 GB per 30 days. The application can display received, sent and saved files. Sent files can be sorted and filtered by nickname, making it easy to see what was sent to whom. Only the names of sent files are shown, so phone storage is not unnecessarily used.

Notifications and sounds Android mobile application

The application supports notifications for new messages and incoming files. Separate notification sounds can be configured on the phone for messages and files. Open sound settings from the application through diagnostics and system notification settings.

Test and Trial versions Android mobile application

Test mode is active for 60 days and includes all application features. After it ends, the application switches to Trial mode for 30 days. In Trial mode, some features or access to certain data may be limited. To retain full functionality, we recommend upgrading to Premium.
